This is how we’re settling in to this weekend. A top tier Tempranillo from an incredible independent wine maker Ana Diogo-Draper out of California courtesy @nakedwines.bsky.social 🍷(bonus: the textile backdrop is part of a chaise lounge I designed for @worldmarket.bsky.social 💅🏾) #kickbackseason

Glassware as a love language 💎 Been sourcing some new pieces from the 1800s through the 1930s that are for sale tomorrow. I need talk to get into these Farber Bros. Green glass and chrome orb salt shakers 😍

Back at it with sourcing some fresh glassware and sharing a little preview of some items coming to the GLAS shop this Friday. Very obsessed with these Farber Bros. green Cambridge glass and chrome salt and pepper shakers from the 1930s. Glass and chrome? Yesss.

Am wondering if any of you have recommendations for good Substacks talking about film/cinema that are written by women?

There won’t be a sale on GLAS this week (but am stocking up for next week!). But I wanted to share this gorgeous green glass chips and dip set from 1968 that is available, along with another set in a hammered glass available for all your holiday parties ✨

The whiplash of retailers drawing us in with carefully manufactured colors, curated floor plans, SALES!, and then dismissing your presence by locking up largely beauty, health and electronic staples AND reducing actual paid cashiers so we become untrained, free labor in longer self-checkout lines.
Seems like people wanna talk about all the locked-up stuff at chain pharmacies and big box stores today. Here’s a gift link to a feature I published a few months ago about why retailers started putting so much stuff behind plexiglass and how badly it’s backfired. www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...
Retailers Locked Up Their Products—and Broke Shopping in America
CVS, Target and other chains have barricaded everything from toiletries to cleaning supplies. It’s backfired in almost every way.

And if you’re in St. Paul, Minnesota, there’s a fantastic Black woman- owned bookstore called Black Garnet Books that is also hosting a great event with the Weismann Museum tomorrow (Dec. 4 )that’s all about celebrating the pleasure of reading 💜
Here's your daily reminder that bookstores keep the love of reading alive — but they also keep neighborhoods beautiful. They are places to gather, to celebrate stories, to find community.

Please do your holiday shopping at your local independent bookstore, if you are lucky enough to still have one.

Yes, indeed! There are two friends who are based in DC who have an upholstery company together that they call The Two Tiffany’s. Adding their Instagram profile here. Their work is so fun and beautiful!

Thank you so much! I am looking forward to adding some new items to the shop just in time for the holidays ❤️
Darn. The first piece I saw was beautiful, but somebody else must have thought so, too. Will check back soon. This is a great place to buy some holiday gifts.
Thanks so much to my dear friend @karenattiah.bsky.social for sharing this yesterday! And for all of you who bought a few pieces ✨💎

It’s 1st of December. Mull everything. Mull the wine, mull the cider, mull your tea, mull the tap water, mull the cat, mull the carpet, mull the chairs. Mull it all! Get your hair cut in a mullet. Mull the Kintyre. Mull the halls with boughs of holly. Get everything mulled. FULL MULL AHEAD!
