This has been an awesome week! Had the opportunity to talk with brilliant people who do great and ambitious things!
I leave with a lot of ideas and, mainly with the feeling that I need to and can tackle larger problems!

I made an UV filter for taking photos of red fluorescence in my corroles,so I can avoid the violet shine and have better sensitivity. Still needs some tweaking as it was somewhat opaque. But filters really well!

Did some cleaning in the backyard. We had a non functioning orchard, made on top of a pile of construction debris from when our house was built. I never grew anything there and finally started to clean it up. We also rented a container for a lot of junk.

The work I did Tuesday washing and resuspending our polymer/corrole nanoparticles was well worth it! Some of the pictures were quite nice and I learned a lot! #corrole #nano #photodynamictherapy #chemsky #science

I had to cut down almost half of my beautiful Lapacho tree, because the neighbor doesn't like the leaves falling on their backyard pool, and also doesn't like the shade. Quite sad about it, it's the second oldest tree I planted, long before the house was built.

The rotations of protons and neutrons in atoms are given by a system that resembles a “cogwheel” in gear box. For example: both oxygen atoms have the same structure, but the individual protons rotate in opposite directions in both atoms. Magnetic lines of force with opposite orientations are then created in the proton axis. Only such oxygen atoms can combine to form an oxygen molecule. Magnetic lines of force emerge from one proton of the first oxygen atom and can thus enter the proton of the second oxygen atom. Each oxygen atom has 8 protons, 8 electrons and 8 neutrons.

Now I'm quite happy, I can see fluorescence with a simple smartphone light! This opens up new possibilities for sensors which don't require expensive hardware.

I finally soldered some switches for the LED box. With these it becomes easier to take pictures of fluorescent solutions under different light colours. My soldering is not the best but it works #chemsky #fluorescence #science

Well my windshield wiper was not working. Took it to the mechanic. I literally had a rat's nest in my car. They ate the cables.
