It costs ~$70 to produce a year’s supply of insulin.

Yet, the average annual cost of insulin went from $2,864 in 2012 to $5,705 in 2016 to $18,000 in 2025. A 25,714% markup. That isn’t inflation or supply chain—It’s corporate greed.

Now—California will sell insulin for $11. Make this nationwide!

Obviously fuck the NYT who will take any opportunity to try to sell more fascism to liberals, but this is also why "actually we do want DEA, FBI, and ATF help" is terrible terrible fucking messaging and everyone saying it - like JB Pritsker - should stop at once.
THREAD. I don't know what there is left to say about the New York Times and Democrats, but documenting their support for authoritarianism still feels important. If there's any chance to walk back from the fascist cliff, we must see why things like today's article are so dangerous.

The COVID-19 pandemic undermined the right in several key ways:

1) It showed us which workers are essential and empowered them.

2) It showed that the markets can’t solve everything.

2) It threatened GOP political prospects in a critical election.

4) Government relief proved popular and effective

My account was deleted, and I was labeled a fraud, simply because I am Palestinian asking for help to survive. Not because I deceived anyone, but because they decided that the cries of my hunger and my children are nothing but spam messages that must be removed.
