I am of course aware that this is a complex area and relates to identity and preference and history and culture and more. My starting point however, is that this is not an excuse not to teach them anything and avoid the topic altogether.

I obviously want them to use appropriate terms but I need to be able to explain when and how to use what and if I cause confusion then the outcome could be worse!

It’s amazing how the simplest things had such meaning at the roots of our language. In Spanish the word for bred is “pan” and bread is still at the heart of words such as acompañar (to accompany), compañero (companion), compañía (company).

With whom would you break bread or be close?

My husband and were very excited about visiting Franklin's Gardens for the first time for the WRWC! Unfortunately, when I went to purchase parking I discovered that blue badge holders are expected to pay MORE for their parking space than able-bodied fans are. I'm not even sure this is legal.
