The Democratic establishment has tried to shiv his campaign from the beginning. Hard to blame him for voting against it.
There’s a ballot initiative in NYC to switch NYC mayoral elections to presidential years. Lots of arguments for and against but one very obvious result would be that turnout would go up and more people would vote in the mayoral, particularly infrequent voters. Notable Mamdani voted against it.

Not to beat a dead horse here but @govpritzker.illinois.gov urged Illinoisians to resist Trump’s occupation, then when they did, the Governor sent in the ISP to bust people’s skulls and no one in the mainstream media challenges him on it!

The cool thing here is that when Sharkey complains about a lack of meetings, what she means is that she didn’t get to make the decision herself. And I dunno, be better at winning elections? Build a stronger coalition that doesn’t split support between the 2nd and 4th place finishers?
