Yes, most of the land is federal and under threat if the roadless rule is removed as proposed. SLC started purchasing water and surface rights from the mining companies long ago, effectively reducing the amount of privately owned land, like this area:

One of the things I’m thankful for is the effort Salt Lake City has made over the last 150 years to protect the watershed and keep public lands public.

the first naval officers to get married. Stalwarts of the Utah Democratic Party. She was awarded the lifetime achievement award by the Utah Democrat Party,served for 50 years in the Utah Democratic Women’s Club and the Utah League of Women Voters. They would be FIRED UP today. Also my grandparents.
