As a chronically ill trans person who used to be an RN in low income communities, and now is a caretaker for a disabled BFF on state medicaid and 2 trans kids, and all 4 of us dependent on an essential federal employee who has been working without pay..

Wearing a respirator mask is the only option we have today to prevent flu and SARS2 infections. The mask minus vaccines means you have an effectiveness for infection *prevention* of 95% or better. The vaccines minus a mask mean you probably won’t die in the acute phase. End.

I continue to be in a dissociative state as Covid research keeps learning it is a dangerously risky & systemic disease while I watch people I know get sick from it with no worries as if it’s just a cold. While I’m perceived as “germ avoidant” for masking inside.
