After 20 yrs, I am leaving US Veterans Affairs HSR&D and will remain 100% at Duke. It has been a privilege to be a VA researcher w/ amazing collaborators in a learning health system. With great teams I was able to accomplish more than I ever thought I could. A few highlights 🧵

Man what a way for this year to end. I’m feeling high from this news. We all dream of seeing the material impact of our research and I’ve always been told in the policy world it takes like 17 years, if ever. Here? Idea: 2020—> paper: 2023—>dissemination & advocacy—> material change by end of 2024.
