I think I have stumbled across quite possibly the strongest character in all of fiction

Ngl, the contrast between Percy and Thomas' arcs would've been funny.

Percy: overcomes his fears and becomes brave
Thomas: E G G

Imagine if this ad was remade for the European market?

100% Agree

I mean, does P&S feature one of the greatest characters in all of fiction? I think not!

Interesting idea for an alt basis for Sidney.

Ngl, seeing that F Class is giving me the same vibes as those HSTs in Australia. Its so weird seeing a design you're so used to seeing in the UK in other countries.

I personally think they are the same shots

In terms of the Ffarquhar Station shot, looking at them side by side, the two main details that stick out to me are Thomas' face and the fact that STH and his car are parked nearby.

Plus, why film these shots again when you could just reuse them?

Interestingly (And while not 100% confirmed) 2/3 of this intro do appear in the show.

The shot of Thomas passing under the bridge is used in the new intro (albeit at the end of the intro rather than the middle like in the original) while the shot of Thomas at Ffarquhar appears in a Leaning Segment.

Its also interesting to view it from a modelling perspective.

Having Emily (A model built in the 2000s) next to the rest of the cast (All of whom were built back in the 80s) just shows how much the model making process had changed so much in almost 20 years.

Tbh, I only really like the Steam Team from an aesthetic point of view.

I will say, it is very interesting viewing it from the perspective of Emily (Who was still brand new at the time). Seeing her paired with long established names like Gordon and James.

I still find it odd how the engines weren't informed about the sheds being demolished.

Like, you'd think STH would let them know in advance, but I guess the man has bigger priorities!

Notice how, like in S8, the blue livery on Thomas and Edward look almost identical, while Gordon's looks different.

Now granted, they don't look 100% the same, however, that could be put down to lighting (Which is almost used as an identifier for the seasons of the show!)

This is interesting because, as we all know, Edward's model was refurbished after TATMR (As he did not appear in the film), which meant that, presumably, the model makers used a different blue for him (This can clearly be seen in Edward the Really Useful Engine, which was filmed after TATMR)

I have a sneaking suspicion that Thomas' TATMR brass model was repainted sometime after TATMR but before S8.

I initially noticed this when I was looking at this shot from the Engine Roll Call. Notice how Thomas and Edward's blue liveries look identical, while Gordon's looks different.

Just noticed this in two illustrations from Oliver the Western Engine.

(More proof that Bulliver was used as reference for the illustrations)

The only other illustration that shows this version of the Works is this one from Oliver the Western Engine (First illustration of Resource and Sagacity to be exact)

I love how this implies that "A Visit from Thomas" (The episode that this newspaper is featured in) is set sometime around 2001-02.

Not sure how to feel about that tbh, but I guess its kinda neat.

I never understood why certain characters never made it to certain merchandise ranges.

Speaking of Henrietta, when we finally got her in the Take N Play style, not only was it not Take N Play anymore but she didn't even have magnets!
