Too many interests. Not enough dedication to any single one of them.
From the economy and balances the money supply. Controlling inflation.
The only other purpose taxation has is by directing the economy by encouraging spending or dissuading spending.
If we was to pay for anything we can.
Neoliberal economics is based on a lie. Stop buying into it.

There is no black hole. The government (we) can afford to pay for any project we want.
We don’t borrow money or need taxes to pay for anything.
The only limiting factor on money creation is resources.

The government isn’t a household.
Taxes (and buying bonds) takes money from the economy

They need them alive so they can abuse them.

I doubt guilt figures very highly, if at all.
July 22, 2025 at 9:36 PM
But they aren’t directly targeting monied interests Dale. You should know this by now.
July 18, 2025 at 11:13 AM
Not so much. But ok.
July 18, 2025 at 11:09 AM
You think you have that long? That’s so cute.
July 17, 2025 at 11:36 PM
But it got us publicising reform. Job done.

Shame we don’t publicise the Greens as much.

Buying shares isn’t investing. It’s gambling.
If she wants investment legislate a wealth tax and invest that in the country.
Not that she needs tax money to do that. The government(we) can just do it anyway.

Publicly fund all political parties

Audit the MPs

Rolling elections

And make recalling MPs easier and more accessible.

TRICKle down
July 15, 2025 at 11:40 AM
Trickle down did exactly what its creators and promoters wanted it to do.
Same as ‘if you work hard, you to can succeed’, they point to a hand full example of people who lucked out in a sea of failed effort. And say ‘If they can do it. So can you’
We could all ‘Do it’ if the system wanted us to.

Should have punched him in the nuts
July 12, 2025 at 2:14 PM
I would be more worried about being so hard on the BBC that we eventually call for its break up. Then all you will have is media bought and paid for by billionaires. And do you honestly think that will be better.
Honestly. Analyse those media companies and get those broken up first.
July 10, 2025 at 10:25 AM
I hope all is well?

There’s only one way out of this now. And a lot of Americans are going to have to kill a lot of other Americans.
Either the military do it. Or the people do it. Either way is terrible.
July 4, 2025 at 6:39 AM
And the funny thing is there is no financial fallout from this. The governments finances bear no resemblance to a home budget. They and by extension we. Can afford to pay for and do anything we want to.

Oh I don’t know. He does a run down of the pop top ten and he’s usually pretty objective about them and the production values of most of them. He might not like the song but he’s pretty fair in his assessments so of them
July 1, 2025 at 7:22 PM
I couldn’t agree more. But they can do both. It’s not either or.
