$200K to litigate a case against a social assistance recipient who *may* have received $10K in CERB overpayments is not an "inefficiency", but collecting unpaid taxes on luxury yachts or planes *is* a waste of bureaucratic time?

Why do cycling bridges matter?

Cycling bridges create safe, direct routes for people on bikes, especially across busy roads, railways, or waterways. They remove conflict points with motor traffic, reducing the risk of collisions and making cycling more enjoyable for everyone.

He means Ukraine.

Trump has been talking with Putin about dividing up Ukraine.

Why focus on eroding trust in official statistics?
2 big reasons:
For authoritarian governments: they'll tell us what we need to know. Muzzles dissent.
For big biz: most data is proprietary. They may let us pay for it (or not); use it to shape policy & procurement.
Either way, they win, we lose.
