There is one way to solve the Greenland issue. Have a referendum under the control of the United Nations. Do it quickly with no campaigning, no golden hellos and a social media blockage until the election. Let the people of Greenland decide.

This is me in Tigray 50 years ago—in Berhale, to be precise. In 1974, I was in charge of UNICEF's food distribution program. I eventually had to leave because of the fighting. Now, I can't return because of the fighting. It's a peaceful picture amidst the never ending turmoil.
