I'd bump them too tbh, and extend the racing calendar into October. It's not like the off-season for riders is much more than 2 weeks anyway, and at least this way they'll have a mid-season break. Post-Tour fatigue is real for fans too, so would mean more eyeballs on those August races (I reckon).

There may be reasons I haven't thought of why this wouldn't work, but it seems to me the WT should take August off entirely, and shift the rest of the season (incl. Vuelta and World Champs) back by a month.

Justin Webb (always awful) also said that he's a "self-proclaimed" socialist which is just not true? He's a *democratic* socialist but that's a very different thing. Seems like they should correct?

I don't agree about it being "brutal" but even if I did, why is the Guardian's chief sports writer filing a column about the Green party leader who, as he himself acknowledges, hasn't even said anything about the supposed subject of the piece? "Unhinged" is the contemporary parlance, right?
