The 2025 update will be in Dec sometime unfortunately. But I will have a giant Vermont line video sometime this month
Extremely jealous of all these aurora pictures
Love when people argue that what we need is LESS regulations.
Nationwide recall of the baby formula we use for botulism. Fucking yikes.
My two baby yuzu trees each have one large almost ripe fruit, and now I gotta think of the best use for them that’s most notably better with fresh yuzu vs bottled yuzu juice
We can keep Markey and Merkley I guess?
I think the question of what dem senators we SHOULDN’T primary in 2026 yields a smaller number than the alternate

One CEO called the idea a “disgusting insult” and “economic genocide against the Gen Z generation.” 👀

Appreciate that! But just a one-off. Right now I’m deep into making a giant video on the future Vermont rail project
And then the single family housing can slowly get bought up to be replaced with denser housing within the SB79 limit. With that park and a D line stop, lot of potential here.
Would love mixed use developments with locally-owned shops that can create an exceptional walkable neighborhood together with north and south La Brea and the rest of Miracle Mile to the west. Tall mixed-use on the metro-owned properties along with two 40+ story planned towers can anchor it.
with the D line stop coming and SB79 on the books, this area of Wilshire/La Brea could undergo a real renaissance. (Some of the current height limits may already be greater than this, the zoning website is a mess to figure out). This is all lots, car dealerships, strip malls, and fast food.
Very much in a ‘burn down the Democratic Party and replace it with a progressive party’ mood. Annoyingly there’s no way to practically do that in our system without conceding the nation to fascism, so we need to stage a total takeover from within somehow.

Trump: *gets booed massively in front of a huge stadium crowd*

Senate Democrats: Wait, they should be booing at us!

Go volunteer for a progressive launching a “hopeless” campaign against an extremely entrenched incumbent currently squatting in a safe Blue seat. The worst thing that happens, is that you drag the incumbent to the Left. Best case? Zohran Mamdani, who was polling at 6% in January.

King used to be reliable. But his brain has Fettermaned. He needs to stand down; he's causing damage.

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

This is the message of a failed, feckless, and leaderless party. We need a party with backbone, and the only path to it is through a cleansing primary season. If your Dem is up for reelection, and you aren't damn sure they're fighting the fascists with everything they've got, primary the bastard.

there was an incredibly stark change at my job between 2023 and 2025. just absolutely day and night.
i dont think there’s ever been a point where corporate america has had a sincere sense of morality but it is probably a sign of the times that the culture at most major firms does not even pretend to encourage ethical behavior anymore. the transformation is really stark in tech.
i honestly do not know what major company in america isnt involved in some ghastly shit at this point? i just would not *do* the ghastly shit yourself.

The fact that none of the 8 Dems are up for re-election in 2026 is a pretty good sign @schumer.senate.gov engineered the surrender
For every single person that dies because these ACA subsidies go away (and there will be a LOT), protestors should place a headstone on the lawns of each senator who caved. With pictures. Confront them with the death they’ve caused until it hollows out whatever souls they have left.
