The number one thing to know about Pelfrey is that he had a funny thing he did with his tongue. Later he got a mouth guard which want as fun.

Endy was my favorite that year. So fast on the field and an incredible spirit. He was a backup player that became a critical starter for half a season and pulled it off before sliding back in to a backup role which was sad to see (but seems to happen).

Your first pic is yellowjacket wasps. Non-pollinators and sting in swarms if the nest is threatened (mostly a worry for small kids and pets who don’t know not to stick something in there).

Ugh. Our engine just failed - 9.5 year old Kia under warranty but Kia is declining to cover the warranty as of now because I don’t have all my oil change receipts from 7 years ago. The fix is worth more than the car. Know what else is more expensive than the car? A lawyer 😔

That’s what I thought! (growing up on Long Island in the 70s and 80s the ice cream man was definitely dealing). But it’s really for soft serve.

I don’t get the ‘stuff it to Taylor’ post. I would argue she’s thrived STARTING with 1989. I was introduced through my kids and took the ‘kind’ approach (One Direction… fine). But with the exception of tortured poets she’s been brilliant and surprising. And my favorite band is the Clash.

In my neighborhood (astoria) people have the ice cream man’s cell phone and they call him when they want ice cream. 😂
