Because of course Corey is hanging out with notorious right wing southside bar owner Richie Cupka.

If you're a supposed "leader" in local party politics but you are publicly sitting out the Mayoral election bc it's contentious, you're not a leader, you're a coward.

Also looking at Dem electeds who represent city residents and have been silent on the Mayor's race.

If you hold yourself out to be some kind of leader in the local Dem party-as a cmte person, donor, or advocate- and you live in the city and you have any kind of following and don't publicly endorse for mayor: you're not a leader, you're a coward.

It would be funny, if it weren't so predictable and gross. Right in line with our opponent's tactics from the very first push poll. Maybe if their candidate had more to show for a lifetime in local govt than two pieces of 10-year-old legislation, they could do better. But I doubt it.
@coreyoconnorpa.bsky.social Next time do your research.

Gainey's legacy - the unit is back online!

I really would like to go back to resolving things with duels again. Bring back real consequences.
There is a housing duel going on in the Pittsburgh mayoral primary.

CommUnity, during the WPXI debate Corey suggested a walking tour of the 1600+ units of affordable housing my admin has delivered in 3 years.

I’m proud of our record and excited to share it.

So @coreyoconnorpa.bsky.social, I invite you to join me for a walking tour on Wednesday at 9 am.

It's not hard to dunk on Corey when his game is this weak, but well-played, Mayor.

When the former County Controller heard that former Gov Wolf was going to appoint Corey to the Controller's office she said that he was so out of his depth that he would need someone to hold his hand to even attempt to do the job.

I don't think she expected to be quite this right.
Let’s take a walk, Mayor Gainey. I’m ready to see the 1,600 new affordable housing units you claim to have built.

🚨Friday reminder🚨

Corey O'Connor is working with the same Republican firm that ran Steve Zappala's Republican general election campaign.

I designed a new campaign fit for Corey O'Connor

🚨FUN FACT PITTSBURGH: Long Nyquist who jump started the O'Connor campaign in earnest by polling on his behalf last summer also managed Steve Zappala's Republican general election campaign.

I think it would also be bad for the mayor of Pittsburgh to have these same qualities.
I think it's bad that the country is led by people who haven't had a real problem in their entire lives and couldn't get a regular job due to being too weird

That little twit Amy thought she got cute with me online but is crying bc there were IRL consequences. I saw her at an event after and she literally flinched and went pale. As I said in the other place, you can doxx me. You can even show up here. But you better remember PA is a Castle Doctrine state

Their methods include pretending to have expertise, repeating the same shit over & over thinking that makes it fact, ignoring the community & being assholes online and then whining that they don't feel welcome they're treated similarly. (Oh, and I'm quoted in this)

I can let academic literature speak for itself b/c an alt-weekly isn't the place for that debate. A key strategy among YIMBYs nationwide is manipulating public discourse through social media. It's such a key element that academic theses have been written about it. www.proquest.com/docview/2712...

The avalanche of cognitive dissonance required to protest against the same people who are directing, funding, and supporting the campaign of the candidate you support for Mayor should be studied.

Could never be me.

Of course, it's not just the 14WIDC whose endorsements have lost their lustre. ACDC and its unofficial satellite committees like Char Valley, ACBA, groups that require candidates to pay for consideration all used to mean much more than they do now. Which honestly is a shame.

The once-great 14th Ward Independent Club is having their endorsement event today. Unfortunately their leadership - including a rabid stalker, harasser, and doxxer motivated solely by his own Zionism - has turned the Club into what they once hated. /
