As bad as things are, keep in mind this was *not a landslide*. The felon-and-rapist in Chief only got 50.1% of the vote. The House will be about the same & the Senate GOP gained some predictable seats. That's *not a mandate to make big changes*.
The Republicans control the Senate despite representing fewer Americans than Democrats. They control the House thanks solely to extreme gerrymanders. They will confirm anyone who Trump puts forward. If a political party could be a participation trophy, it would be today’s GOP.
