I disagree. DOGE proved to me that there's almost zero waste, fraud, or abuse in our federal government. If they'd found some, they would have touted it widely. My faith in government efficiency has never been higher.

Gen Z is the most racially progressive generation. I wonder if Republicans understand that those young Nazis are an extreme outlier for their age group.
Those claiming Dems should retreat on racial justice aren't hard-headed realists, they're pushing against the electoral tide rather than leaning into it. The story of Gen Z isn't about racist backlash or red-pilled young men. It's the most racially progressive generation in American history. 🧵

Affordability & Healthcare. Sprinkle in some Anti-Corruption, and you've got a stew going!

My takeaway is: Dems should deliver a top line message catering to the "General Wellbeing" group, paired with underlying policy details catering to the "Generally Left-Leaning" group. Seems compatible to me.

Yes. Gen Z has the lowest racial resentment scores. Millennials + Gen Z will be 54% of eligible voters by 2028. It would be helpful if left political parties would skate to where the puck is going, instead of skating to where it was in the '80s.

Also there hasn't been a popular Republican president in the last 30 years. Ages 14-24 are the most formative for political views, which is why the cohorts born after 1975 (now 50 and younger) favor Democrats. We're finally reaching the era where those voters make up a majority of the electorate.

Yes. It's also bad strategy b/c most people are good, actually!

A full 50% of people worldwide fit the Light Triad personality profile. And beyond that 50%, most people have more Light Triad than Dark Triad traits. Conceding to the zero sum vision reflects a dim (and incorrect) view of humanity.

It's worth noting that there's a generational aspect to this. Racial resentment among white Americans decreases with the younger generations.

I just want to share the thread below, for anyone who hasn't seen it. The south scores highest on racial resentment, but it decreases with the younger generations.

And Millennials + Gen Z will be 54% of eligible voters by 2028. Just something positive to keep in mind on this topic.

Have you tried the "Popular With Friends" feed? I really like it, and sometimes I discover new people to follow when their skeets show up there.

One underrated aspect of AOC's appeal in 2028 is the fact that 54% of eligible voters will be Millennials + Gen Z at that point. Even Gen X will be larger than the Boomers by 2028.

Whoever is the nominee in 2028 will need to excite and motivate the younger half of the country in order to win.

It would be interesting to see a state-level breakdown of the data below. Racial resentment is highest in the south, but it does decrease with the younger generations. And Millennials + Gen Z will be 54% of eligible voters by 2028.

Thanks for writing this!

Millennials + Gen Z will be 54% of eligible voters in 2028. Dems need young voters in order to win, and the most effective way to boost youth turnout is to nominate the candidate that young people are most excited about. Nothing else is as effective.

Yes, I think social media shows us a wider variety of people (and sometimes a different side of people) than we might encounter IRL. And sometimes that's misinterpreted as social media changing people ... when really people were always like that, but it was hidden before.
