PETA loves to fundraise off this event, which is why so much of the negative is out there. But so many of these dogs live better and eat better than most pets. And watching them race they just look so happy! Especially at the start.

Been getting a lot of DMs asking me if a loon has both an articulating lower AND upper beak, and it turns out the answer is yes! Which is rare among birds. And even more rare among humans.
