15. honestly the only reason i got through this was because i knew from the blurb one of the annoying english people would end up dead. felt like a panto by the end with the amount of twists, i was trying not to laugh my way through the final act because it felt so over dramatic

12. this was grand and i enjoyed it but probs not enough to go looking for the second book. the premise was interesting and the aussie narrator was a nice change from the usual american/english ones but other than that, not hugely impactful for me

5. didn’t enjoy this as much as the first (maybe because it was less gory, maybe because the MMC’s chosen cheesy nickname was too cringe) but it was still good! completely forgot there was an element of peril because of how engrossed i was in the relationship which is saying s/t
