NHS teams are continually working to improve services, but quality improvement without an equity lens can widen ethnic inequities.

We have worked with @ihi.org to develop the Anti-Racism Model for Improvement QI approach, integrating our 7 anti-racism principles: nhsrho.org/resources/mf...

This week RHO's Owen Chinembiri presented the EDI award at the CAHPO Awards. The award, which we sponsor, recognises the achievements of allied health professionals in the field of EDI.

We are piloting a new small grants programme for grassroots organisations tackling #racism and health inequality, and we are looking for a partner to work with us on the design and delivery.

Last week we held a roundtable with @hssib.bsky.social to discuss how we can reduce racial bias and discrimination in patient safety investigations.

Insights will feed into a joint policy briefing as well as guidance to ensure that investigations are fairer and better support improvements for all.

Today Dr Nandi Simpson, our director of implementation, gave evidence in Parliament to the Women and Equalities Committee inquiry into progress on reproductive health.

Bullying, harassment and abuse continue to have a deeply damaging impact on staff wellbeing and contribute to a culture of fear.

People from minoritised ethnic backgrounds are disproportionately affected and there is a clear business and legal case for addressing this. 🧵1/2
