Bach1 is regulated by superenhancer that is regulated by the ATF4:p52 complex, which promotes cell cycle progression in multiple myeloma cells.

.... this implies that b-catenin independent signalling only plays a minor role (transcriptionally?) in Wnt-addicted PDAC and that their might be a regulatory grammar that determines whether a Wnt target gene is activated or repressed in response to pathway activation

Two key findings ....
1. In HPAF-II (RNF43 mutant pancreatic cancer) only 10% of genes are b-catenin independent
2. A subset of the Wnt-repressed genes is enriched for the NRE motif (as described Kim et al) and we subsequently test its function repressing a lncRNA and modulating AXIN2 expression
