One of my workplaces makes you use entitlements if the co-located site you work at shuts over Xmas. The other has decided two weeks break is not enough, so they're shutting for three weeks and paying all employees inc casuals without touching entitlements. So I guess...balance.

I think my parents radiate some kind of cursed energy that interferes with technology. Everything that is straightforward and easily done in my house misfires, fails and requires extensive troubleshooting the minute it comes into contact with them
