It is honestly kind of surprising that Nintendo hasn't used the same concepts in Switch 1/2. There should be a way to connect the switch to the TV and still use the screen. Not everyone liked it but Nintendo Land was awesome.

So I don't believe in the simulation idea but that article read like a "We can't figure it out so it isn't possible". I didn't really read anything there that was deeper than the shallow end of a kiddie pool.

Also the level of experimentation was amazing. "Lets do this crazy thing and see if it sells" Like talking into a controller mic to a sentient fish with Leonard Nimoy doing narration. Everything is so safe now and so very samey.

Dreamcast is my favorite system of all time. SNES has a lot of pull on my heart strings but DC was the turning point of the arcade at home experience. I was a major fighting game head and playing nearly perfect ports at home was a game changer.

It is this type of tacit endorsement that perpetuates false narratives. Hate to see it, especially in comics, one of the most welcoming environments of all the geekdoms.

I think one truth about change is that it requires some level of pain. I don't know of any meaningful change that wasn't sparked by some level of discomfort even if it was just self reflection in the face of challenged ideas. Coaching is the last step AFTER being forced to face the truth.
