This year's design is inspired by the fleeting presence of fungi. Appearing after rainfall, they reveal themselves as if by magic—much like the cyanotype printing process. The design uses this analog technique, combined with visual elements that echo impermanence and handmade artistry.

Juli Sasaki is a graphic designer, yogi, and devoted mycophile. Her fungi fascination began as a kid, foraging oyster mushrooms with grandma in Ohio. It became a passion for culinary & medicinal uses. At the NY Mycological Society, she found fungi a lens for everything—and never looked back.

In talk, we’ll go beyond species ID & learn broader characteristics of the subgenera & sections of the milk caps, + a history of how we got 2 these divisions. Learning higher order taxonomy is a gateway to useful information such as edibility.

There were a number of fetching boletes, including the richly blue staining Gyroporus cyanescens and a fine specimen of Boletus separans. The unusual Russula earlei was there as well as Thelephora vialis.
