Honestly most series don’t need to go beyond a 3 books and if it does it needs to be REALLY good and worth the read

This is how I felt about the first book. Everyone raved about it and I was excited to read it, and when I finally read Quicksilver I was like: 😬 this ain’t it.
I still respect everyone’s reading preferences though it just was a no for me. 😅

It just kept jumping from one setting to the next and the pacing of the story just felt off. I like fantasy and some of the stuff in it was interesting but something would happen at one point in the story and be dropped before another plot point was introduced. Also character tension was bad.

Quicksilver was definitely just written for the romance readers and nothing else. I’m sorry but nothing in this story made much sense to me. And it got to a point where I didn’t really care what was happening but I still wanted to finish it in case there was a twist ending. Did I miss something?

Right now the only series I can think of is Throne of Glass but I’m sure there are others

How many retelling a of “Disney classics” have been written? How many stories on Greek literature have been done? Shakespeare retellings? We draw from stories we’ve heard before because those are the stories that inspired us to start.
