It’s difficult to see the changes that have taken place in the US the last couple decades. The Legislative Branch is completely dysfunctional and totally preoccupied with its own agenda. I feel like we are on the edge of civil war.

Most people thought the same thing, Lea. I’m only 150 miles away and only heard about it 2 days ago. The murderer was arrested 14 times, served prison time, and was released on cashless bail last January by a local magistrate. He bragged about “getting that white girl”. It’s a horrible hate crime.

Are you aware that Iryna Zarutska’s brutal murder occurred on 22nd August and mainstream US media refused to report it until they were called out for ignoring it? I live just over 2 hours’ drive from Charlotte and even our local media sat on the story. Political toxicity in the USA is outrageous!

I profoundly hate this for you. There are a couple scenarios like that in my family both among siblings and between parent and child. In those instances, it all started with the very nasty divorce of the parents. The kids picked sides and dug in to the point of no return. It’s heartbreaking.

Japan has been waging economic warfare against the US since the end of WWII by elevating the quality of everything they produce while in so many instances the quality of US products has degraded. Oh, and China copied that model. It’s simple supply and demand. Tariffs won’t fix that now or ever.

Some years ago a local egg company in Eastern NC branded their product “Just Laid Eggs”. That did not play very well for the overzealous religious folks who lived in that community. 😂

At first I did not believe this. I even reported the post to bs thinking it might be misinformation. It’s mind boggling that the man who prioritizes business dealings with American manufacturing and service would consider accepting such a large gift from a foreign government. Unacceptable!
