Someone please show the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds writers room a picture of the banned jokes from Workaholics. All the quips in SNW feel like a first draft they forgot to go back and polish. Absolutely brutal.

SUPERMAN (2025): WOW!!! So happy to finally see "my" version of these characters done pitch-perfect right. An absolute love letter to the comics. I never thought I'd see an onscreen adaptation of one of my favourite JLE issues! Fingers crossed we can get "one punch!" and Kooey Kooey Kooey...

A good two weeks. Watched two big bucket list films, Sexy Beast improved on second viewing and had huge laughs (the kind with tears!) in the theatre with the new Naked Gun. #LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday

#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched I was disappointed with the studio-enforced epilogue for Tea & Sympathy which punished a character for her infidelity. So it's fascinating that Minnelli made a movie 9 years later which is essentially a celebration of the Taylor-Burton affair. Quite a sea change.

#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched I was disappointed with the studio-enforced epilogue for Tea & Sympathy which punished a character for her infidelity. So it's fascinating that Minnelli made a movie 9 years later which is essentially a celebration of the Taylor-Burton affair. Quite a sea change.

I had the perfect Friday night yesterday: pizza, wine and helped a friend sort through some Silver Age comics he inherited. Crazy to actually hold these in my hands after seeing them in books for years. I literally shouted "Oh, my God!" when I found Flash of 2 Worlds.
