Completion and evaluation of an academic assignment is NOT a First Amendment issue; I see no justification in placing the student instructor on leave, especially if the 2nd instructor (who affirmed the grading) was not reprimanded. HOWEVER, the grading didn't jibe with the prompt to me. It did [1/2]

I think the instructor was a grad student. Samantha Fulnecky—the student who wrote the essay—is an undergraduate (junior).

Wow. I swear, sometimes I feel this administration is intentionally making the most irrational, illegal, inhumane choice they can think of. They *actively* pollute our food, end vaccines that have saved millions, destroy renewable energy programs that are economically superior to fossil fuels. WTF?!

TBH, I wish those values were rates. Like, have we sent that amount to Israel since the inception of the nation? Would a one-time payment of $20 billion end homelessness forever, or would that be annual? Or what?

Not to mention the enormous electricity needs of those data centers. AI is *definitely* going to throw more CO2 into the atmosphere. By 2028 they could take 12% of the power. That's roughly the gain that renewable sources have made in their contribution to electricity generation in the past decade.
