On that web site
www.springernature.com/gp/open-scie...
note that they hardly mention accepted manuscript (AM) versions at all. I think they are implicitly talking about the version of record (VOR) throughout FAQ 2, even though they avoid saying it outright. For example see the 3rd bullet point.

Ok that wording is bad and contradicts NIH policy, yes. What you posted in your screenshot from the license agreement wasn't that, though. Its wording is aligned with the NIH Public Policy. This i mean:

It's possible I'm looking at an old version but it seems like the latest to me, and it is the same as my department told me in July (screenshot excerpt from departmental email attached with my underline added)

That standard license seems to say the same thing as the NIH's public policy: "...making Author Accepted Manuscripts publicly available in PubMed Central upon the Official Date of Publication."

I can't remember why it freaked me out so much, back in high school, but I only got maybe 20 pages in. Only book I purposely never finished. 😐

Nice mood boost etched into marble at the Mellon Institute in Pittsburgh. Seen yesterday at the moving, inspiring celebration of Carl Olson's life and career.

Ahhhhh why does Dropbox or any other company think this is an appealing offer? I am going to let LLMs schedule my life? 🤯

Thick Russian accent "Come to my Soviet lab and wear this contact lens for a while... for science!" GOAT. So much in this book beyond those famous figures. Worth owning if you can find one.

For those reading this far who are wondering what we're talking about. This is an example. Pretty much every talk I've ever seen on quick (saccadic) eye movements starts with one of Yarbus's figures.

I would also admit that I often treat invitations like this as jury duty 😕 checking my calendar carefully, calculating if I'm already doing too much service, thinking about it for a couple days. This time I replied like this. I post this only to encourage everyone else to do the same 🙂
