So the Syrian civil war had nothing to do with pro-democracy protests being met with force by Assad, Russia, and Hezbollah/Iran including killing hundreds of thousands and gassing their own people? Who would have known?

Ridiculous moral equivalence. You can argue with how Israel is conducting its war against Hamas, but that war was provoked by a violent attack on its civilians. No one provoked the synagogue attack, except in the eyes of those who find Jewish existence a provocation.

I think most of us actually have the capacity to separate these things.
imagine if they do catch the guy who put down the insurance ghoul. they’re gonna have a hell of a time seating a jury. think of the voir dire. they’ll have to eliminate everybody who ever cried on the phone with their insurance company & there won’t be anyone left.

It's only a matter of time before the hummingbirds I live with make it into my stories. But they've already impacted me permanently. I have scoliosis + a scar from surgery for it (from which I experienced paralysis), so I usually don't show my back. But this little tattoo got me to do that. 😊
