I think we need to acknowledge more directly that copyright is a limit on our rights to free expression. It's a limit I think we can tolerate when it comes to, say, "you can't burn new copies of A New Hope" but it's wrong that nobody is allowed to do anything with a cultural icon like Darth Vader.
