Actually it’s behavior is well understood and quantified. It’s volatility (mostly upward) is decreasing by the same proportion each 4 year cycle, as it grows along a power law. All assets are “going up” because the purchasing power of fiat is constantly debased. Bitcoin is the most systematic asset.

One can completely ignore the market cap, and experience the gain in their purchasing power over long periods of time. Right now the average US home costs ~4 BTC.
The delusion is that fiat money stores value — houses are not more valuable, the money being used to price them rapidly loses value.
