Sudan is an extremely wealthy country in terms of resources and gold only contributes a fraction of that wealth. Money is absolutely a driving factor along with Sudan's strategic location along the Red Sea which ultimately is also connected to capitalist interests. (3/3)

I feel like it almost has to be a fantasy of a certain class of people who are much less likely to have known people who went to prison that there's a plausible solution here. On paper it doesn't work. In theory it doesn't work. In practice it doesn't work.

Again and again: Israel’s very raison d’etre right now is genocide-driven. The genocide is a business opportunity to sell tech and weapons to the highest bidder. The Israelis get to boast that they’ve tested those out on Palestinian bodies.

Can’t put enough emphasis on what the words “last medical facility” mean in the context of this genocide. It’s pretty simple to understand what happens when there’s no hospital available.
