I feel like social media made the current culture around houseplants to be more about status and clout. “Look at me, I've got the rarest and priciest plants!“ Not sure that attitude would have been quite as prominent back then?

I got mine a few years ago now as a substitute for the Florida and it wasn't crazily priced. Even better news, it grows so easily! The only reason why it's propped is because it got cooked during a heatwave 😅

That is a baby philodendron squamiferum! The leaves will end up the same shape as the Florida, and the 'fur' will turn red 😊

Oooh tough one! If I go by what I currently have in my tiny houseplant collection, it would probably be this Syngonium mojito or the Philodendron Florida (mainly because I nearly killed them during a tough time in 2024 🤣)
