This this this this this. If I could disillusion abled people of one idea about disability, it's the idea that when you get sick, doctors will actually help you. This is almost always an abject lie, so much so that we all pass around the names of doctors who will like they're magic spells.
Part of why healthy people aren't afraid to get sick is- they think if they do develop long-term issues, they'll be able to go & get treated by doctors who will work day and night to fix them (as it was on House, M.D.) & don't realize there's a 99% chance they'll be told they just have anxiety

Saying "AI" was "trained" on the work of artists and writers is the wrong metaphor. Their work was made into a database to be copied from and reproduced in small chunks.
There is no mind learning or being trained. There is no "intelligence" in that reproduction There's plenty of artificial, tho.

No credit to the studios here. They held off as long as they could to try to break the WGA. They made a deal now because they had no other choice at this point, considering how badly they'd underestimated both the WGA and SAG-AFTRA.
