I'm continually disgusted that some call empathy is a sin when Christ literally commanded us to love our neighbor as we would ourselves and even said that our enemies are our neighbor. It's a command that is repeated and reinforced in the Old Testament, Gospels, Psalms, and Epistles.

I join my Catholic brothers and sisters in Christ are mourning the loss of Pope Francis, a man whose demonstration of God's love touched hearts across the world, Christian or otherwise. We pray together for a better world informed by human dignity and shaped by the love and grace of Christ.

In the tradition of Moses, Samuel, David, Nathan, Daniel, Mary, John the Baptist, Jesus, Paul, Peter, and many people throughout the history of our faith as we speak truth to power. We cry for justice for the oppressed and mercy for the immigrant and marginalized. God use us to bring it forth.
States like Indiana, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and more drew even bigger crowds than on 4/5. We’re in awe of you, America. You know you did something right when even Fox News is covering it. Wow!! We love you!
