Aghhh you started peak!!! Kelly thompson is a great writer but its sherman’s art/paneling that makes this incredible imo. One of my fav modern comic book artists!! His work on batman: dark patterns from this year is also really good.

할로윈에 읽었어야 하는데... 싶었던 아쉬움이 남은 작품.
프랑켄슈타인과 배트맨 세계를 결합시켰는데, 비주얼이랑 분위기도 좋고 플롯도 나름 괜찮았지만 흉내낸 것 치고는 광기와 집착에 빠진 과학자를 원본만큼 잘만들진 못해서 감점.

그 어떤 어른도 우리를 위해 싸워주지 않았다는 거 자체가 거대한 착각인데.
심지어 체인소맨의 세계 안에서도 그들을 위한 어른들이 존재하지 않는 게 아님. 그들도 그냥 빠르게 죽거나 이미 망가져 있는 것 뿐. 그냥 자기연민에 취한 소리들 참 많이 한다.

part 1 is all about freud. part 2 is both lacan and irigaray. the phenomenon of the "coexistence of the dual" that constantly reoccurs as a theme in part 2 is irigaray's framework of sexual difference. lacan is of course the language of how desire in part 2 operates

chainsaw man basically lends itself to a psychoanalysis reading of literally everything happening (freud, lacan, irigaray even) in both part 1 and 2 you could probably write the definitive literary analysis through but that is a job for when this monster of a work finishes

과거의 기억이 도왔다는 생각도 드네. 80년 광주 같은 민주화 투쟁의 기억 때문에 윤석열 미친 짓의 위험함을 곧바로 깨달을 수 있었던 것. 과거는 역사의 아픔이었지만 그게 또 백신이 되어 겨우 막아낼 수 있었네. 우리는 우리 시대 바른 역사를 세워 미래에 전해야 함.
