I saw this at @thebroadmuseum.bsky.social this weekend. This Barbara Kruger piece was made for the 1989's Women March on Washington. It's just as relevant now as it was then.
Surprise, surprise!! GOP trying to make eugenics popular again, while also using the govt to pressure people into 1950s nuclear families!

They want to take money from child care programs (e.g., HeadStart) & give it to families that stay home and rear children (guess which parent stays home).
Let’s dive a little deeper.

What exactly is behind this “Manhattan Project” for more babies?

During UCLA Bruin Giving Day (April 29-30), please consider supporting our rigorous, independent LGBTQ research. The first 50 gifts unlock a $50,000 matching gift from Henry Jung and Mark DeAngelis.

Make your gift at bit.ly/WilliamsBGD. Thank you for your generosity!

There are a lot of bad things happening all at once, and it’s overwhelming to think about how to meet moments like this.

Jean says to focus on 1 or 2 things that you care about, understand fairly well, and are either local or involve a topic where you’re likely to have influence and find community

You cannot negotiate with terrorists. If the Ivies give in to any regime demands, the goal posts will move. If the massive ivy endowments aren’t deployed to preserve institutional integrity and academic freedom, what on earth are they for?

When oligarchs talk of “personal liberties and free markets” they mean their own liberties to become even richer and more powerful.

When oligarchs speak of “freedom,” what they actually seek is freedom from accountability.

Know the truth.

In support of today's #marchforscience, I am sharing this excellent report from my colleagues on the consequences of removing LGBTQ data. This is only the tip of iceberg of the Trump Administration's war of science, facts, and the truth.

On Jan 29, OPM issued a memo directing federal department and agency heads to remove webpages and documents that “promote gender ideology.” Huge datasets were removed before a court ordered them restored. Our new report examines the effects of losing federal LGBT data on research, law, and policy.👇

Hard to overstate how radical a departure from regulatory norms (and rollback of transparency) this would be.

If I had to have only one message to everyone in 2025, it's this:

STOP. COMPLYING. IN. ADVANCE.

STOP DOING THE WORK OF TYRANNY FOR THE TYRANTS!!

Seriously, grow a fucking spine and stand up for what's right. Seeing a whole lot of spinelessness in recent months...

This is extremely disappointing from the folks who own Star Trek, a franchise built around the concept of IDIC: Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations 🖖 Another spineless company that only supported #blacklivesmatter and DEI because it was en vogue. #cancelparamount
Paramount, the parent company of BET, MTV and the Paramount film studio, said on Wednesday it was rethinking its approach to DEI policies amid a broader backlash driven by the Trump administration.

The company has a merger pending before the Federal Communications Commission, whose chief has criticized programs focusing on diversity, equity and inclusion.

Check out my latest work on the experiences of workplace discrimination and harassment among Black LGBTQ workers. #blackhistorymonth #blacklivesmatter
Our new report finds half of Black LGBTQ employees in the U.S. have faced discrimination or harassment at work due to their LGBTQ status. About 60% of Black LGBTQ workers are under age 35, identify as bisexual, and make less than $50,000 a year. Read more at bit.ly/Blackworkers
