Fricking delight to enjoy BC Camplight at the Classic Grand tonight. Lots of tracks off the new album, A Sober Conversation, but they found room for some deep cuts too.

A bug hug of a show on a cold Glasgow night.

Pictcon is officially up and running in the lovely city of Perth.

Brilliant to see Scottish SF and Fantasy being celebrated by our excellent community.

It's officially launch day for Blood In The Bricks! It's folk horror, but right here in our towns and cities, written by some of my absolute favourite contemporary writers. Get it now (or They'll pay you a visit).

Last up, thanks to everyone that came along and listened to me reading The Sea Gate (and to Tim and Tom for the excellent readings too). As I'm in a seaside frame of mind here are some pics.

Thanks also to everyone who came to the launch of Blood In The Bricks, alongside NewCon Press's other new titles. There were too many of us for the table! And we sold all the books. Calling that a win.

I'm not known for historical fiction but a while back I wrote a story set in Glasgow in 1960, a time when there were a number of infamous murder sprees. It's a story about the human cost of working on those criminal cases involving absolutely inexplicable inhumanity.

Sometimes the best gigs are the ones you go into knowing zilch.
I now know ALL about a French sustainable farmer duo called The Inspector Cluzo. The main thing to know being... they're epic!!!
Props to Katacombs for a lovely supporting set too.
A grand night out.

Grand set too from Edinburgh's @sarahshaunofficial.bsky.social. A little bit like if Julee Cruise had done an album for Ghost Box. Lovely stuff. Looking forward to catching them again soon.

Cracking night out at Cottiers tonight. Jonathan Millers 'Whistle And I'll Come To You' with live soundtrack from Malmo's awesome @deathandvanilla.bsky.social.

Atmospheric, suspenseful and creepy in all the right ways. Perfect October fun.

That's it. Right across from the casino as @remotecore.bsky.social said. Having said that... there wasn't much to fall down.

Celebrating the start of autumn with the annual chili cook off. Half a kilo of spicy meat is always a grand way to warm up on a dreich day.

Sadly we've had to say goodbye to this utter prince. Az made it to sixteen which is pretty damn good going, and it was an absolute privilege to have him here for the last three years. Never known a little dude with more love in his fuzzy wee face. Missing him like heck right now.

Epic book chat tonight. @justinleeanderson.com launching his new one, The Damned King, with @annabelcwrites.bsky.social and @cameronjohnston.bsky.social. And the magical @megintransition.bsky.social asking the Big Questions.
Love these events. Thank you @waterstonesargyle.bsky.social !

Congrats to @dougjohnstone.bsky.social on the publication of The Transcendent Tide, the final part of his Enceladons trilogy!
The most grounded and full hearted sci-fi thriller I've read in ages.
