It's a paradox isn't it - imagination? If we cannot imagine the worst, then we cannot consider the means of designing to reduce the harms.
I would suggest we need BOTH dystopian imaginations (the worst things, to avoid if possible) AND more beautifully imagined futures... WHILE facing reality.
