It still feels like Cambridge, London and to a lesser extent Oxford are overinvested in while the rest of the country is left to live off the scraps and even more inadequate public transport.

I agree it shouldn't be either or, but there were incentives for those companies to come here and they aren't exactly backing it up with affordable housing to attract younger professionals and it's all well and good but the traffic and trains don't work anyway.
