A bit like this Aussie journalist's (the late John Pilger) 'words of wisdom.'

Observe, record, photograph, take notes, and just tell the public exactly what you have seen and heard.

Real journalists are agents of the people, not power. That's the whole reason for journalism in the first place.

Fascinating, unintended, potential consequence of the Government's decision on Palestine Action. I wonder where the High Court takes this one...

I suppose they may have to 'fact check' and compare against the other 44 Presidents. Then you have to agree the metric of corruptness to ensure fairness before agreeing the source through an independent arbiter. Bravo the BBC and the #Streisandeffect #Trump

That would be both incredible and disastrous all at once. We need to defeat fascism in all its forms. Populism is in the playbook of fascism. He would be doing something that he ideologically abhors. Stick to policies and avoid gimmicks I would say. Let fascists play that game and be defeated.

Once again I must stress: If you think I defend the BBC because I've worked for it, you've completely misunderstood. I, and anyone else in this position, am defending the BBC *despite* the fact I've worked for it.

Unbelievable. Arguably worse than Truss as they knew what was coming next. She'll be lucky to make the Budget in more ways than one!

Watching - The yield on 10-year UK gilts climbed by 13 basis points at the start of trading on bond markets to 4.57pc. It was the steepest jump in yields since the latest 'display of weakness' by the Chancellor. Hold proverbial line Labour!
