For me, it WAS lupus 🦋💜

Lover of all things horror, vampires, birds, books, sanrio, and various anime/manga (current fixation is JJBA) ✨️
Not to brag - but my Dad, a man who has been growing giant gardens since I was little all on his own, complimented my new little patio garden (and my indoor herb garden, no photo) - so yeah, you could say I'm crushing it 😎

Eastern Bluebirds are often seen as symbols of joy, luck, and hope - especially for brighter days. I got to see not one, but two, on my walk yesterday 💙 Warmer weather bringing hopefully more days outside!

Featuring a picture of the lovely park I was in but no blue bird(a bit too fast!)

My plants are still hanging in there strong - I am still so surprised they used to be just little seeds 🥰🌱 #indoorgarden #gardening

Real talk - The Killers' "Pressure Machine" does NOT get enough love. I recently revisited it and it still takes my breath away. Flowers paints the realities and complexities of living in a tiny poor rural area, lacking opportunity. It is both simultaneously grim and hopeful. (1/14)🧵

Had to re-pot some of my little friends that were outgrowing their space (the lettuce in the big white planter did NOT want to cooperate with me) - Fingers crossed that they keep doing okay! 🌱🤞 #indoorgarden #gardening

I am trying to grow some plants indoors for the first time - I always grew up gardening with my father outdoors but that was in a huge rural setting. Kept it simple with some herbs, loose leaf lettuce, and radishes so far. It's been about 5 days - My babies are growing! 🌱💙 #gardening #indoorgarden

I'm sorry but my sweet child - she looks so picturesque 😭💜 (ignore all the hair on my blanket - she is a HUGE shedder)

Life can be incredibly stressful and daunting rn - but when you feel that little light of joy - embrace it, it was meant to be felt. Joy is not made to be a crumb 💜

3rd Book of the Year: "The Fury" by Alex Michaelides. I really enjoyed his previous works, but this is not my favorite and his weakest by far. The story teller narrative style is awkward (and I find Elliot incredibly annoying) + the framework of events is quite clunky. Maybe next time! #booksky 📚💙

Now that I have awoken from my deep sleep after a long week at work I must let the masses know - Dr. Pepper put out a Blackberry flavor and it is PERFECTION

As your friendly bird nerd, I can attest that I have cried multiple times to the idea that vultures are deeply misunderstood and often villanized but good *and necessary* creatures

Plus I love a good quiz lol

2nd book of the year - "Blacktop Wasteland" by S.A. Cosby. I read his work "Razorblade Tears" several years ago and adored it. I'm a bit of the way through and loving it already! 📚💙 #booksky

I've been struggling to read as I've been quite distracted with all the happenings in the world and life in general - but reading is typically my happy place. So I picked up Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy from my local library. Here's to the first book of the year 💙📚 #booksky
