I am ND and was raised strictly within Mormonism. I took everything extremely literally and believed I knew The Truth and that I was one of God’s “chosen ones.”

A god who is helping a praying white middle-class housewife in Utah find her misplaced car keys while letting innocent brown people be deported and genocided is either discriminatory and void of compassion, or is completely lacking in power. Either way, it’s not a god I’m interested in worshipping.

Just got my local #NC mail-in ballot and I’m enraged at how difficult it is to #vote. I am a stay at home mom of 3 young kids. It is hard to find childcare to go to in person. But for mail in voting, you need two adult witnesses or a notary and a photocopy of your ID, which is also difficult to… 🧵
