I read a tweet once to the effect of: most people are functionally illiterate and only engage with the plot points in fiction, the same way a record player can "listen" to music but not interpret it as a musician does, and it feels like a show written by and for someone like this

The show has nothing interesting to say about its characters or settings, half its humour consists of "haha isn't it funny how these hardened criminals say things in a foreign accent?" and its characters make unrealistically stupid decisions because it's the only way the show can progress its plot
