The edited logs of USS Yorktown, 1908-1909, with four @journeyplotter.bsky.social maps, have been published. Yorktown travelled the west coast of the Americas from Alaska in the north to Chile in the south. Thanks to editor and publisher Maikel. 🌎⚓

Bear travelled from New York to Greenland and back, as part of the Greely Arctic Expedition rescue mission.

Burton Island travelled in Antarctic waters, to the US West Coast via South America, and then to Alaska.

This release fixes a problem where a Gazetteer Search could result in an error.

USS Jamestown was stationed at #Sitka, #Alaska, from 1879 to 1881.
They left their mark till this day, though.

#OTD 11-11-1918 the #WW1 #Armistice was signed.

HMS Cardiff received word while at anchor at Rosyth.
"Ceased hostilities against Germany, on their signing the armistice."
