A little Soothwardens lore and visual drop, while I work on finalizing the quickstart 👀

Three thousand years ago, the planet looked much different. Large continents spread across vast oceans, giving shape to a wide variety of peoples, wildlife, and landscapes. Then, the Cascade came. Vibrant green meteors crashed down in overwhelming numbers across land and water. Mages, and colossal planetary guardians, called Omirim rushed out in eight directions to save what they could. While tidal waves of earth and sea crashed against their magic, they pushed, driving the land from behind them out into a ring to combat the onslaught. The dust of the shattered and burned meteors drove through their barrier, mixing with the magic and washing over them. As their gigantic forms began to petrify, the Omirim sang out in a funeral song. This song, this dirge, reshaped the world to save the small humans that were left behind. Where once were multiple continents and oceans spread across the planet, now sat a circular ring of mountain range reaching to the clouds. One ocean sat in the middle, thousands of miles wide in every direction, so that almost every bit of hospitable land rested between shore and mountainside. The surviving humans lived and rebuilt off of the space between. The Ring still managed to contain a multitude of environments, temperatures and landscapes in what was left. But the tumultuous restoration of the planet’s new shape brought on challenges for the young human population. As they built around them, they found that many of the flora and fauna from before had changed, somehow affected by the Cascade. New prey animals began to roam the land, both in herds and in solitude. With them, came new predators. But something worse than predators came as well... A massive petrified statue of a humanoid figure called an Omirim pushing against the wall of a mountainside. Above it is the oncoming evening sky full of stars, and below it is a countryside and the far off image of a city. The city and countryside look diminutive because of the scale, and the image perspective is set from out in the ocean.

The text says "Operating in the world of Soothwardens requires you to keep track of two major physical resources: Heart and Stamina. Both resources start with a pool of 20. On your character sheet, there are check boxes to mark on and off for the use of each. Heart: A measure of a Warden’s capabilities in a fight, as well as their ability to stand up in that fight until it is won. When your Heart is all used up, you will fall. Stamina: A measure of your emotional, mental, and sometimes physical capacity to pursue the task of eliminating the monsters known as Breakers. The less Stamina available, the more conditions available. Heart Heart is used in multiple ways, but in order to use it, you have to have it. Most encounters will have the PCs using at least some of their Heart to sustain certain states. How much Heart must be sustained depends on your Paradigm Path. For example, a use of superhuman mobility (Speed) requires sustaining Heart. If you want to use a combination of moves to fight, you need to have the Heart available to do it. Before the start of your next turn your Heart burned increases by at least 1, though may be higher depending on the circumstances." There is a margin note with the following "If tracking Heart and Stamina in the check boxes is too difficult, using tokens (such as coins) may serve as an alternative."
