Beautiful afternoon in Frog Pond. There were lots of people out enjoying a beautiful Nov afternoon and lots of birds in the park today. And as I was walking along the sidewalk on Purcell's Cove Rd not far from the park there was a pair of Pileated Woodpeckers.😍 #halisky #birds #nature #novascotia

I also walked in Frog Pond this evening. I finally saw one of the famous white squirrels. There was also lots of bird activity including Brown Creeper. No decent bird or white squirrel photos to show for it but enjoyable nonetheless. #halisky

It really irks me that people using sidewalks are the lowest priority re construction zones in HRM. This sidewalk was not under construction, somebody's yard was. I was able to go around these signs but what if I were in a wheelchair or pushing a walker? Move your signs off the sidewalk! #halisky

Looked like there was a beautiful sunset in Halifax this evening? At Polly's Cove this was as close as we got to the sun breaking through. Gorgeous hike nonetheless. Topped off with hot gingerbread/ice cream at Sou'wester, Peggy's Cove to end the day. #halisky #hiking #novascotia #canada

I always enjoy identifying wildflowers using the Picture This app. I decided that after I id them I'll press them, label them and create a nature journal of sorts. This is today's haul. All found next to parking lots since hiking is currently off limits. #halisky #novascotia #canada #nature

Some guy yelled at me to get out of the way so the geese could get off the road. First I can't go in the woods. Now I can't be in the Mission Mart parking lot. Life's rough. 😂

That's a much better sign than the Closed sign at the Chain of Lakes trail that had no explanation whatsoever. I suppose it would take them time to get proper signage printed up.
