Agreed. It is ridiculous for anyone to have that amount of money while people are homeless and hungry. Drives me nuts.

I've been having horrible heat intolerance issues for a year now. Throwing up and almost passing out. I think my antidepressant was conspiring with TX weather. On a med break now and crying way too much, but I got to see some bugs. I hate mental health crap. Need walks, but also need meds. 🤷🏻♀️

I think it was a new genus for me when I uploaded to iNat. Just have to get on a larger screen to see if I can get it to species. It was so hot today that I barely made it an hour before heading home. Happy to find a couple new things though!

We saw quite a few superb dog day cicadas at our moth sheets on the 19th. I guess that was the end of those. They are pretty big! Now I need to go find some of the new ones.

Ha!! I would be so excited to get creepy crawlies. He just doesn't know what's cool. Maybe HE needs a black light to learn to love the moths and beetles.

That's hilarious. Laila will pick up slugs which totally grosses me out, but she is not a fan of spiders. I will pick up all the spiders before I ever touch a slug. 🤣
Before homeschool, she would come home from public school with snails in her pocket. 😬 We fly our weird flag proudly around here.

It's strange because we have these at one park and they mostly run. The other park, which is not that far, has six-spotted ones and they seem to fly as much as they run. Only one species per park that I commonly see, but surely there's more? I'll have to look at iNat tomorrow.

Thanks. My daughter is the last sufferer and her fever broke last night. Hoping we all feel like celebrating the big 1-3 on Friday. I can't believe I'll have a teenager. 😳
I'm sure the Switch 2 will help her feel better. My husband spoils her too much. I just force her to help me spot bugs. 🙃
